| Millwall up next then.... 19:35 - Mar 15 with 3325 views | RetroBlue | So what type of game from them do we expect? Will come to attack ( they need the win as much as us, (or will they park the bus and try to hit us on break? They have been on a decent run for a bit now so, are they still in form or coming to end of their run? If ever there was a 6 pointer, surely this game and the Boro one is just that.... COYB's | |

I have been thinking for a while now that a team's best bet is to get in our faces and put us under real pressure, I'm not convinced we would be that hard to score against.

I think they will try and make it a stop start.game and pick us,off on the transition. We have to be patient again if it doesn't happy early. Not going to be mucho watch. Would love us to get an early goal or two!

Look for free kicks and corners for their big defenders cooper and Cramma with Bannon taking the set pieces! We have played Bannon a few times recently with sheff wed so should know his game!

I think the dynamics have shifted they might feel they want the win. Just a thought. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Can’t see it myself. Anyone coming to PR would be happy with a point. A point is more advantageous to them than it would be us I reckon

They will want to win but their best chance of doing that is to keep it tight, frustrate us, and look to score on the break or from set pieces. They aren't going to try to take the game to us.

They will be playing for the win. But it will be on the counter and it will be set plays. That's how they get their wins and why their goal difference has been so low comparatively. They score a really high proportion of their goals from set plays.

41% apparently. Wonder if we could see akpom starting. Hirst will id imagine. I did wonder if we might see baggot coming in at lcb with greaves going lb but is that too risky?

I think we’ll do that when Kipre is back against Brum. Same back 4 for Millwall as Saturday I reckon. Taylor in for Neil, Azon for Hirst.

| Millwall up next then.... on 23:15 - Mar 15 with 1857 views | TRUE_BLUE123 | I am going to say something very obvious here. Scoring early would be absolutely ideal. The longer the game stays 0-0 the more chance we leave for a 1-0 Millwall smash and grab from a corner with the ridiculous height that they have in their team. That being said they have got players who can hurt you. Femi Azeez (boy I wish we signed him) has arguably been the best player in the league since January and will be up against Johnson playing on his weaker side. Barry "Barry Bannan" Bannan is still a handy operator and Josh Coburn is always a handful. As others have mentioned can see it being Wrexham esque with Millwall looking to use the long ball up to Coburn to get them up the pitch. Will be a really tough game, but one of course we can win. We could witness a series of skinnings not seen since medieval torture chambers. For months, every time I watch Millwall highlights, Azeez has scored or assisted at least once per game. He was injured when we played them on Boxing Day, so they'll be a different prospect on Sat. I don't think we can put Johnson up against him at left back. The difference in pace will be like a London bus vs an F1 car. What to do? 1) Furlong at left-back, Johnson at RB 2) McAteer at left-back 3) ??? I know #2 is a bit out-there, and if Furlong has any experience at all playing LB, then #1 is my preference. McAteer has better attributes to play full/wing-back than right-10 IMO and with Leif suspended, now might be the time to try this. Azeez is so outstanding in what is otherwise a fairly average team, it's almost worth man-marking him. Tell whoever plays left-back: follow him around, even when we're in possession. We'll just play the same back 4 as we did Saturday. Then Kipre will come in against Brum with Greaves going to LB I would think, for Davis' 3rd one. Azeez is quality and in good form, but we can't be too fearful. We're at home, we need to dictate the tempo and take the game to them and trust that we can ask them a lot of questions. They'll be as fearful of Clarke, Philogene, Mehmeti etc as we are of them. | | | |

He's got 8 goals and 8 assists in 27 appearances. That's impressive but I'm not sure how you've seen him scoring or assisting at least once a game for months, the stats suggest that's simply not possible for you to have seen. Johnson is athletic and he's not slow, I'd say he's probably quicker than Furlong. We'll line up with the same back 4 we had at the weekend.

Interestingly similar to Jayden, he's scored he's goals at home ( maybe 2 away i think)

He runs like he's on a treadmill. West Ham, who sold him to us, knew this and targeted him in their 4-1 win. Johnson is great on the ball. First touch and short passing are excellent. He's athletic in that he's got a decent engine, but acceleration and top-speed are glacial. Awful off the ball in a one-on-one situation. Since recovering from an injury early 2026, Azeez has eight goal-involvements in the last 12 games. [Post edited 16 Mar 12:26]

Nope. Six of Azeez' eight post-injury goal-involvements have come away from home. At: Watford, Coventry, Wrexham, Sheff Weds, Preston, and Hull. [Post edited 16 Mar 12:28]

Johnson really isn't "glacial". You do seem to love a bit of hyperbole. So Azeez hasn't been contributing to a goal at least once a game then. Glad we've cleared that up. He's a good player in good form but let's not over-egg it.

Can we register Roger Osbourne in time to do a man marking job on him? (That's one for the oldies among us - and yes, I was there! )
