| Do the club owners support Reform UK Ltd? 11:02 - Mar 24 with 1059 views | BlacknGoldnBlue | I don't know the answer to the question above. I've read the statement from Ipswich about the Reform visit but, following the pictures Reform have posted, it doesn't seem just a visit. So it begs the question, do our American owners support the man that appears on American TV regularly, and is friendly with Trump? I would hope anyone based in this country and working in a professional capacity would realise the issues with hosting Reform at the club and would seek advice from higher ups before accepting the booking. Ashamed of MY club today. | |

| Do the club owners support Reform UK Ltd? on 11:11 - Mar 24 with 1031 views | bsw72 | I’ve done stadium visits at Chelsea and other grounds, the photos Farage has posted are pretty much standard fare for this type of thing that fans get the chance to take. They’ve made it look official but it’s just stadium tour. I’m pretty sure that for an official visit there would have been more of a public presence from club leadership, it’s not as if Ashton and Co usually miss a photo opportunity as they are very good at the PR side of things and must be scrambling round to find the right balance of response. While a number oppose all that Farage and Reform stand for he is an elected MP who has every right to book and attend a stadium tour in his own time. I think reform have played the game here as they have not said anything about an official visit, just shared some photos. Anyone reading more into this needs to calm down and think more rationally. | | | |

Some might, statistically its almost inevitable some club employees would vote reform tomorrow, statistically its also likely most wouldn't. The issue for me is the lack of foresight and huge PR own goal here. I can guarantee you we're not the 1st club they will have attempted to get into like this, we're seemingly the only ones stupid enough to let it happen though.

Did you get loads of shirts printed with your name on and change all the shirts in the changing room to it? That's not a normal part of the 'standard' club tour.

No, but I could have paid for as many shirts as I liked and hung them on hooks if I wanted. The guys I was with at Chelsea all had their names printed and hung them on the hooks for their group photos. What’s the difference? Based on the photos I have seen it’s a handful of shirts. Not everything is a conspiracy, the club have been played by a very smart Reform marketing team.

So they should come out and distance themselves from it then

Yes, and I imagine they are scrambling round trying to find out exactly what happened and make a statement which doesn’t exacerbate the situation further or alienate those fans of the club who are reform voters. If they don’t do something I will be very disappointed but I’m not marching on the club with pitchforks until I see the response. Once I have I will make my feelings clear to the club in my own way.

according to itfcjoe, he's been on the tour and you're not even allowed to touch the shirts, let alone replace them with your own

If I had booked myself onto a private tour that was promoted with the phrases 'ultimate personalised experience', 'Tailored entirely to your group' and 'exclusive photo opportunities' and wasn't allowed to hang a shirt bearing my name in the changing room for a photo I would be surprised and very disappointed. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| Do the club owners support Reform UK Ltd? on 11:51 - Mar 24 with 682 views | Bobbychase | But what if the person who took the booking had no idea Farage would be involved? Whole thing feels like a stunt. Maybe someone should have been a bit more streetwise but to blame Ashton and Gamechanger feels a stretch. Doubt our American owners have any interest either way. Think of the loony tunes politicians they have over there. | |

Or by a smart TWTD commercial team. Site traffic must be through the roof over the past 24hrs.

fair point, guess there are tiers to the tours. makes the club look even more naive to accept the booking though...

| Do the club owners support Reform UK Ltd? on 12:14 - Mar 24 with 514 views | Illinoisblue | 99% of Americans have no clue who Farage is; he does not “appear regularly on American TV” and to claim he’s friendly with Trump is to vastly overstate Farsge’s useful idiot status. I very much doubt our owners will give this episode more than five seconds of thought. | |

| Do the club owners support Reform UK Ltd? on 12:20 - Mar 24 with 446 views | Swansea_Blue | I think they’ve just been used. The club management may or may not have some sympathies, and/or they may have one eye on what the future political landscape could look like. Who knows. What’s pretty certain is that they were naive if they weren’t expecting Reform to milk the opportunity. Even if we’re happy hosting them, I’d be disappointed if we’re not at least a bit annoyed by Reform branding their social media sites with all of our image rights and sponsors. | |
