Makes you think now. [Post edited 26 Mar 20:55]

In fairness I should have used the word "after" rather than "because". Have edited.

Ashton couldn't even keep his story straight on something as simple as that. We had 'the sponsors complained', then 'the players complained' and, finally, 'some fans complained'. Chap's an habitual liar.

| Does anyone remember when Call Me Ted on 21:54 - Mar 26 with 865 views | urbanpenguin | What? I was angry about the decision, but from an artistic angle. The discussion at the time was that the players couldn't understand covers that were not photos or paintings that look like photos of their heads. Which was stupid but made sense. I don't know this argument. [Post edited 26 Mar 22:29]

Yes. The commentary at the time, as from the club, was that the players did not like covers that did not feature them on. So the club got in that artist who does the dreary photorealistic paintings that may as well be photographs, because it was reported that the players only understand imagery that is or looks like photographs. I'm not saying this is or isn't the case, but that's what I heard from various places. I don't know what this story of the OP is. But I'd like to know more, as it may add context. | | | | Login to get fewer ads
| Does anyone remember when Call Me Ted on 22:33 - Mar 26 with 629 views | Axeldalai_lama | Ironically, wasn't that a commercial decision by Ashton because of sponsors not being happy? ....... Well I'm pretty sure they're not exactly chuffed at the minute, Mark. | | | |
