Seeing talk of a protest being held before the game against Birmingham, trying to start chants of "Ashton out" during the game.
Can't we just put aside any political opinions we have and put all our efforts into supporting the team?

It’s not a question of playing anything down. I just don’t think he realised what he’d got himself into or how Reform would use it. It makes no sense whatsoever to deliberately use the club in this way given he surely would not have needed a crystal ball to work out that a P45 would almost certainly follow.
As for promo stuff, shirts etc, I don’t know how it works with football clubs. I see from the picture posted earlier, Bristol Rovers weren’t shy in handing out the shirts but what par for the course is, no idea..

Think these things can be very unpredictable in terms of their effects. 15 years ago I watched a Rayo Vallecano team win La Liga 2 after their owner got done for fraud and sent to prison, the team didn't get paid for months too. Sometimes adversity off the field makes people lock in on it. |  |

I can't agree sorry. The time is now or probably never. If you think any sort of fan movement would happen or carry any weight after that much time has passed and during a period where there are no games, I think you are sorely mistaken. I would guess you probably know that deep down and probably don't think it actually important. |

Here is my view, currently as it stands, no doubt it won't go down well with some, you can't please everyone all of the time.
There are two seperate things to consider here. One or two individuals who many have been perceived to have bought disgrace upon the club and by association it's supporters.
The other part of the equation is the squad, manager and his staff, who as far as we all know have had absolutely no part to play in the events of last week, and I dare say hold their own private opinions which they have kept to themselves thus far, probably sensibly.
I can understand the reasoning some have for seriously thinking about whether they want to attend next Monday or indeed further along the line. I just say this, maybe in the just few weeks and matches left of this sesson, it might be best to continue to support the " innocent " whilst making it clear you do not support those that you believe are guilty of misdemeanors.
It's just a few weeks till seasons end, I'm sure there are more facts and more fallout to come. Perhaps the summer break is the ideal time to take stock of everything that has happened and may yet happen, before rushing into any action that any individual may regret. It is of course up to any individual to do what they wish, this is just my view.
One other thing, If as mentioned in another post, the owners are unhappy, well it might be worth contemplating that any CEO/Chairman of this club under their ownership is really just a puppet. Strings can be severed in an instant! |  | | |

As a previous poster has said, how on earth do you expect to recruit a replacement right now? This is not a simple solution. Top targets are likely to be deep in their own respective seasons and will almost certainly have notice periods, just like Ashton did at Brizzle. |
Ashton will know by now that he is toast at ITFC. So just like he did at Brizzle, he will be working on his next gig already. No way is he going to be trying to bring the best players in to ITFC. He's probably scheming to see if he can facilitate a move for Jack Clarke or Azor Matusiwa to wherever he is off to next.
He's proven that he can't be trusted - at Watford, at Brizzle and now here. He has to go now, as all he is doing is working for Mark Ashton. |  |

I've said before, but will say again.
I don't think supporting the team and holding the leadership accountable are mutually exclusive.
For me, this is not about politics, it's about trust.
The team will continue to receive my 100% support. Those at the top of the club... less so. |
About the most sensible thing I've read in here either in here or on the site itself over the past week. One club yes, but two different issues. One shouldn't be allowed to distract from the other. If the owners think it's time for a or some heads to roll, they will roll. Just keep supporting those who are innocent of any perceived wrong doing. Make a judgement call at the end of the season when I would think anything that we don't yet know has come out. | | | |
