This will down as one of the worst weeks ever in the History of Ipswich Town in my humble opinion🤬 61 years of following ITFC and I feel the sole of our club has been torn away, the money the local community has pored into the club in good faith and then to realise that we have been lied to is shameful 😞 I feel really sorry for the big sponsors Halo, Ed, MSC and all the others, I really believe they should be refunded there investment it’s just scandalous 😞

1-2 people made very bad decisions.

Ashton is not the club.

The owners, players, management, coaches and fans had nothing to do with it.

There is probably a 50/50 chance at least that Ashton pays the price when the season is over.

Truly impaired.

Similar to a post I made a few days ago. MA is but a tiny fraction of " The Club ", 99% of it had nothing to do with events. For those thinking of withdrawing their support, and I can understand the depth of feeling, it would be tantamount to also punishing that 99% in order to punish the perceived real culprits. There must be a better way.

Yes, especially if we fail to achieve our objective of promotion after spending all that money.

How could Ashton face fans again at a Fans' Forum? Part of his job is th connection with the supporters. It feels like we have been lied to, exacerbated by the lack of communication.

The sentiment and emotion I understand to a degree. I hate the last week or so and letting that man and party anywhere near our club. But this isn't proportional and our club hasn't been torn away. Ashton has made a huge mistake and may well pay for it with his job. He has made the club look bad for a few weeks or months. He hasn't helped our promotion chances. And he's brought attention Farage and his band of muck. But the club is still fantastic, the trajectory is still on direction and that's up and honestly it's time to get behind the boys again next week.

We can let this drag us all down or we can rise up above it now. If anything good has come it's that our club (staff, sponsors and fans) has said we don't tolerate reform or what they stand for. We don't tolerate that kind of leadership or mistruths. We didn't let it pass without uproar. Good. Now let's carry on being a fantastic club.

Refunded?

I get the strength of feeling but some people have genuinely lost the plot.

Poll: Ok gut feeling then, promotion?

Unlikely to be refunded but it’s extremely likely that they pay in instalments and have clauses in contracts.

In terms of commercial deals sponsors carry a lot of weight and can move the needle in many ways but the idea they’d be ‘refunded’ is quite frankly insane, especially at this level.

Ratner took down Ratner.

Ashton's taken down Ashton.

Let's not let him take ITFC down with him.

If I were a sponsor and my business branding had been used without my express consent, then it would not be unreasonable to sue ITFC for any following reputational, commercial damage or increased expeditures by that unauthorised use of my property.

If I were in the group ownership, this would be be a large concern along with possible future investment impact, which is why mention of policy review will be instigated to prevent future compromisation.

Ashton has made a huge error and compounded it with deceit.
He is trusted above all other things, to protect the investments of the ownership group.
As corporate sin goes, it's top of the list.

If it blows over quickly and revenues are not impacted he may survive, but I expect he is done.
I wouldn't leave someone so careless, or foolish in a position that could risk my imvestment.

Nothing has happened this week unless you think Darnell’s skill for identifying race tracks by the amount of brmm brmm a car makes is particularly offensive.

Last week on the other hand….

So sack the 1% so that the 99% can move on. Until then, this isn't going away.
