Excellent. Lovely job! Ashton out! (n/t) on 15:59 - Apr 11 by Nthsuffolkblue

I enjoyed the win, yes.

How does it cement his position? It makes no difference to his inappropriate misuse of the club.

How is this self-promotion? I am expressing my opinion that Ashton has to go. I am not promoting me, my business, my political views or anything other than my dissatisfaction with Ashton and my hatred of the racist and his party who Ashton has promoted and failed to take ownership of or apologise for.

This won't go away just because a few of you are revelling in it.

You are promoting yourself and your own virtue. Trying to divide fans on a day like today and make it all about your politics. Get a life and enjoy the win.

I disagree.

There are several on here claiming it is the past and should be forgotten. They are the same ones who wanted it downplayed from the off too.

That has made me more determined to ensure everyone is aware of my continued dissatisfaction until he is gone. He is a stain on our club.

Why not give it a rest for today? It’s nothing to do with the players the vast majority of the staff or the supporters. Just enjoy what the team did this afternoon.

I think those who look at this forum are fully aware of your views, so it really isn’t necessary to ‘make people aware’ of your dissatisfaction. I have made my view fully clear on the CEO and why along with what I think will happen in the future so will not repeat it.

But I also hold the view that it’s sometimes good to take in the moment as I’m sure the majority of supporters did today - particularly those who were lucky enough to witness it.

Ashton divided the fans not me. That division already exists but could be solved if you all had enough empathy with those truly hurting to join in acknowledging that Ashton has to go. We would all be united then.

You want me not to have any virtue? Why? I am not promoting my own virtue. I could be the most unvirtuous person ever for all you know. I am calling out Ashton for his failure to act in accordance with the principles the success of the club is being built around. Why would you prefer that not to be criticised?

It also isn't about my politics at all. What are my politics? What do I support?

Why don't you get a life and stop excusing a racist?

Why don't I give it a rest?

Because just yesterday 2 or 3 posters were claiming everyone apart from me are over it and it no longer matters.

It does matter and I care. And I am fairly certain it matters to others far more than to me.

Ashton out!

EDIT: And, yes I am enjoying the win. And will enjoy it even more when Ashton is no longer a nasty stain on the club.

Who cares what they claim? There are plenty of people who care just as much as you and there will be some that don’t. Others will vote for his mob, most won’t. That’s life I’m afraid and adding that sentence to every post shows nothing, says nothing and does nothing in my view.

To say ‘I’ll enjoy it more’ etc means to me that you didn’t enjoy it because there is no ‘more’ if your team beats their local rivals away after 34 years. Maybe you are hoping like one poster that we are never promoted again? Only you know.

But hey, when alls said and done, it’s up to you and also up to you how you perceive the football club, what and who it is - which clearly differs to me. Regardless, life would be very dull if we all held the same opinion.

stop telling people what to think.

if someone wants to protest about our ceo and chairman inviting a racist to the club, then lieing about it and incompetently attempting to cover it up, then who are you to tell him otherwise?

it's a free country (and will stay that way unless farage and his mob of traitors and racists gets in)

Was nice to see Ashton celebrating, and that he was not hounded away from attending matches like some naive supporters expected. Just a real shame that after such a win the OP continues with this behaviour.

One thing I would add, though, is that I was wrong about Sky showing Farage holding our shirt in advance of the match.

That doesn't make it acceptable that it happened, though, at all.

Stop virtue signaling to your TWTD clique and go out and organize a protest if you’re still that enraged. I guess run you can prove how big the feeling is with in the fanbase.

You keep saying you’re going to do this win lose or draw like it’s some massive statement, it’s not, it’s TWTD, where everyone has said their piece, you may as we shout it in your garden.

The owners will make their decisions in the off season and sort what needs to be done. We’re all enjoying our first derby double for a long time.

Nah.

He's been a good CEO overall.

Club is on the right trajectory.

I'm not in favour of more turmoil / changes at the top because of this particular episode. Honestly I just don't care about it enough.
