Never realised but I have attended them all apart from the Norwich Away fixture. If I knew I was an ever present I would have done my complete utmost to keep that going.
Funny thing for me is I probably remember the Charlton 1986-87 games more than most of the other play off fixtures. For example Paul Cooper's last ever game for us at Portman Road he typically saved a penalty. & then seeing Kevin Wilson at Selhurst Park knowing that was probably he's last game in a Town shirt. It was also sadly Paul Cooper, Steve McCall, & Bobby Ferguson's (As manager) last games for us too.

That 1986-87 season was the first season of the play-offs and it helped prolong what was a pretty underwhelming campaign, other than watching Kevin Wilson score loads and (statto alert), us not concede a goal at the North Stand for the entire season.
Our record against other teams in the top 5 (6th place didn't get you in the play-offs back then) was:
2004-05 West Ham Not Home (best man on a stag weekend) and yes Away
2014-15 Norwich Home and Away.
2025-26 If we are in them, depends on work commitments and how I can wangle the time off at short notice for the away leg, already got a flight booked for a work trip to Poland if the second leg is the Tuesday.

There was a lot of us a selhurst on that day. Huge away following. Shame we didn't play until we were 2 down.

Was overseas with work for the West Ham and Norwich. Had plans for the finals had we got through but not to be.
Charlton home in 87, asked for night off (Saturday and evening job as student teenager) at Tesco which was refused so threw a sickie - was a Thursday evening.
Next evening went to work and boss asked me quick as a flash...
Good game? Yeah, we won....er...
Bang to rights and my first and last ever written warning at work.
Second leg was a Sunday am at Selhurst Park. Got first train which was running late and missed first 30 odd mins (even with a delayed kick off). Standing outside in queue and pools of water, my first encounter with Met Plod.
Having been patted down for knives was made to take my shoes off (and stand in puddles in socks) so he could check my shoes.
Almost as if the police in the 80s attracted utter w@@nkers on a power trip. Back then they seemed to be very common from my experience at away days.

Kudos to those with better memories!
The away match, managed to miss all 3 goals. First two cos I was late, Towen goal as I was walking up the terrace, think it was late from Towen to make it 2.1.

Here's the highlights of the game if you never saw the goals 50:35 into the video
As mentioned above we only started playing after McCall scored with a few minutes to go. Although a two legged play off final against Leeds with the 2nd leg at Elland Road would have been terrifying.
