I think there are two extreme views in play here, the truth as it often is being somewhere in the middle. Personally for me, it's JC all the time, and away from home it's a complete no brainer. Of course as we all know JP has a worldy in his locker, but like all his non penalty goals, all come at home. He's what I call a " homer ", never been very keen on players like that, but I'm certainly willing to give him next season to prove me wrong. |

Jaden was as infuriating as ever for spells, and as good as he can be in his moments.
I’m no fan of Jaden or Jack, and would need a significant upgrade if we were promoted, but at this level I can accept them for what they are.
The most frustrating of players who can produce the most incredible moments to win you a football match when the ‘turn it on’.
Can get away with it at this level, you won’t at PL, we can’t afford to carry players like that in the PL. |  | | |

Get bullied? He had a poor first 15-20 mins and after that he was really good. Give me Philogene tenacity and tracking back and winning balls over Clarke's chances of winning a tackle of physical contest any day.
I like both but Philogene is our best player in our squad talent wise and still improving. Clarke is a Maverick player best off the bench. His main weakness is being very lightweight |
I don't agree that Clarke is lightweight at all. He constantly gets fouled and gets up every time. I don't think he has received treatment at all this season and has remained injury free which in the circumstances is quite something.
Both he and Jaden win us a lot of free kicks although generally, just off the top of my head, Jack seems to win them in more dangerous positions just outside of the box. Would be interesting to see some stats in comparison on this. |  | | |

If our our technical players can’t do it, who can?
Suspect Phil would potentially do v well in a team that has those traits and allows him to play, but it’s also obvious why Emry didn’t fancy him, plays in moments and defensively is a liability, but those moments at times are v v special, he had the quality for that level for sure - over to KM, another £100 million, needs to be better spent than the previous £250 million. |  | | |

Adding cumulative transfer spend is a bit of a weird measure, on that basis its a number that only ever goes up. We've also sold players. Even applying your logic I don't understand how you get to £250m?

Yeah, it’s a separate conversation, but I’d argue we probably have 1 player who looks ready (O’Shea on current form), as I have my doubts over Matusiwa’s mobility at that level, which isn’t a great advert for the money spent. | |
