Didn't think Philogene got bullied last night, he was good on the ball, very involved and caused the RB a hard time after the opening section of the game. By the time he went off he had the RB every time.
I think your Clarke bias is coming out a bit here, he's been pretty poor lately and the performance at Pompey was horrible. Been frustrated with him lately.

Absolutely agree he's had a big part to play this season and definitely had a purple patch earlier in the season.
At the moment though, as you've pointed out as well, he's far from those levels.

Ashton said that would be our recruitment strategy and that just isn't the case. Our squad is so lacking in pace in power.
As for Jaden I thought he had an awful start to the game but he did grow in to it. He is quite a tough player to work out because what he does well, he does really well but I do just feel like his frame could hold him back in the long term. |  |

Totally agree, I don't think he was bullied, I do think his touch was a bit off at the crucial moment and sometimes his decision making was questionable, but we got glimpses of the old Jaden.
A big injury and coming back into a side that is having to grind out hard fought points probably isn't going to give you the best example of his talents, but the couple of goals and frequent starts he's getting will help! |  | | |

Very different yet similar players arent they
Jayden has a bit more close ball control but slows play down a bit
Clarke is looser with the ball imo but is a bit more direct but also looks like play others in where as jayden is more imo about how he can get the angle for the shot.
Neither is a bad thing. Just different styles.
Think with jayden it matters who is at lb with him. With clarke I dont think that matters as much. |  |

That's unfair.
There were a few occasions where he made the wrong decision in possession and got brushed off the ball a bit easily, but if you're expecting a player with the quick feet and low centre of gravity like Philogene to have the strength of O'Shea I think we'll be waiting a long time for it. He was still out most dangerous attacking threat last night and there were plenty of times where he found space but we needed to hit him earlier.
