TWTD Appreciation Post 13:58 - Apr 23 with 664 viewsCustardCream

I’m sure there’s been many of these over the years but something is compelling me today to write a little thankyou to everyone involved with TWTD.

I was introduced to TWTD as a 13 year old boy (I’m 32 now) by my late father who posted on here under the name JoeSoap and since then hardly a day has gone past without me logging on to see what’s going on with the club I love.

As somebody that is not local and can really only get to a game once a year if I’m lucky, this site really keeps me feeling connected with all the goings on.

My dad would spend hours at his computer in the latter years of his life letting me know who on here was a bit of a nob and who was a good egg and loved to share tunes with others on here and it made him very happy too.

So thankyou everyone and I hope in another 20 years I’m getting my son involved too.

CC

Hope the knob list wasnt longer than the good egg one.

Your dad was a very much part of the latter.

I fondly remember your fathers contributions on here over the years, one of the good guys for sure.

I hope your son sticks to the cupboard item theme of his lineage. Soap, Custard Creams, maybe DishwasherTabsTerry next?

We all miss JoeSoap. One of the few on here liked by pretty much everyone.

I don't think he'd have been that proud of meeting you, to be honest.

Joe and some of family rocked up to an ITFC bbq at my gaffe many years ago in a very bright orange VW Camper van.... I think it had the Acid House smiley face on it iirc

Joe and family were delightful, a pleasure to meet them

This years bash is weekend 27/28 June.....please pop along if you want to share a beer and a bite to eat with fellow Town fans.

Most folks bring beer and stuff for the barrbie, but just wondering, maybe you could bring some Custard Creams to share?

Joe Soap....gone but not forgotten
