He's nothing like David Johnson though?
He's 6ft 2, Johnson was 5ft 6 and played completely differently. Unless you mean the Johnson from the 50's which I can't comment on as I've never seen him play.
He's also a Spurs player so not sure if the falls into the Champ player category or not. Decent shout though, looked a good player, at least at Champ level.

Personally I would send Kieran to the World.Cup with the ITFC Credit Card, and a brief to watch players from Japan and South Korea, as the cultural traits of hard work, humility and putting the team first would help them feel at home in a McKenna team. |  | | |

I think he means what he said ... "did well in a relegated side" and could do very well with us.
The issue I have with that assessment is that Johnson never really did it in the Premier League.
My comparison would be more with Delap in that he did fine on loan in the Championship, fans weren't convinced he was a good signing and he turned out well for us in the Premier League. | |

Excellent shout. Totally agree.
Very impressed with the growing crop of Japanese and Korean lads across the Championship. Some very good players at Cov, Brum, Saints, Stoke, Blackburn, QPR off the top of my head.
Plus the lad at Brighton who scored for Japan at Wembley recently.

Definitely. I also like the work ethic (and skill) of the Japan team. There might be some players to consider there...
Midfielders like Kaishu Sano (at Mainz, 10th in Bundesliga) or Joel Chima Fujita (at St Pauli, 17th) could be useful in double pivot.
Kodai Sano in midfield and Kōki Ogawa up front (8 goals) at NEC in the Netherlands could also be worth watching. | |
