And people are voting in the fash up and down the country. What a mess we are in.

Another slap in the face to all of those who fought nazism.

Its great having all these proposed community assets, as long as you don't fall into a pot hole getting to said asset's.

Not much a town council can do about that though.

It’s very telling that Reform campaigned on “get Starmer out” and it’s worked in one way, but also highlighted how they rely on those who don’t understand democracy, how stuff works etc for their vote share.

Possibly also shows why they can blame “the elite/system/ blob” etc when they fail to do what they promised.

Why not? they can't do anything about main roads , they can about town centre's which are usually routes to civic amenities.

I had close family brought up in Berlin in the 1920's/30s/ 40's, believe me from what they told me this country is miles away from Fascist Nazis. A term much over used by some on this forum.

Cool story, my 90 year old Uncle thought Farage was a quasi-fascist POS - we've all had old relatives, mate.

The far right haven't come into power nationally here yet, mate. I don't think it'll be like the Nazis, I can't see Reform going down the route of genocide and invading France for example, but Reform are very clearly a racist party funded by dodgy money and with some authoritarian tendencies. Quibbling over whether they technically meet the definition of fascism is probably less important than keeping them away from power.

So did your 90 year old uncle experience being brought up in Nazi Germany. Does that make you a Quasi communist.

Apart from the fact there are many types of fascism, that Reform aren’t in power, and they are aping many Nazi ideas (Farage even parodied one of their posters in a campaign pre Reform) I’m not sure what exactly that has to do with anything.

I’d say this is a weak defence of voting for the fash, but it’s better than those who showed such support/contempt for our war dead earlier on.

Farage is much more Moseley than Munich Beer Hall as it is. He’s a minor toff scumbag pretending he’s one of us after all.
