They got between 40-50% in all the seats they went for.

It's certainly a very worrying trend.
They ran as Great Yarmouth First in the Yarmouth area, and won all of the nine seats they contested.
They beat Reform into second in each seat, beating them by an average of almost 1,000 votes in each district.
Given that Lowe was, essentially, too racist even for Reform, it's a shocking indictment of the state of British politics. |  |

If Starmer wants Labour to get in he should let Andy Burnham stand. He wont though and Labour are done for. Hes a useless prime minister and many wanted a change of government at the last election but not Starmer but in a 2 horse race had no choice. The worry is that, in areas such as Yarmouth, even splitting the vote doesn't matter.
I think, between them, Restore and Reform got >50% of the vote in all of the divisions.

I live in Yarmouth and did not vote for Yarmouth First.
I can see why locals did vote for his party. He talks a lot of horse sense, cares about local issues and donates all his MP's salary to local charities.
He is not racist, or at least not like the antisemites in the Greens or Labour.
Perhaps I am wrong but that is the perception of the voters.
The thing with these minor parties is to give them a little power and then in a year or two we can see how they have done.

I didn’t vote for Lowe at the general election, but despite that he has been visible active and constantly raising the profile of many issues - and as mentioned donates his monthly MP salary to a local cause each month (yes he can afford to but he doesn’t have to)
Compare that to any other MP there in my life I would struggle to identify them in a line up!
In this case he has created a party to concentrate on local issues - hence the Great Yarmouth first potholes, stupid cycle lanes, playground.facilities etc so he got my vote this time | | | |

You do understand that Restore see Britishness only in terms of white British ancestry and Christianity? Could you maybe reflect on where the hatred is really coming from? How do you think people on here who have, and/or with family who have, ethic origins feel about that? By Restore’s definitions they’re not seen as British. People like Sam Morsy or Ashley Young wouldn’t be seen as British.
Restore Britain are a far right, overtly racist organisation. There never has been and never should be any expectation to be nice to racists. I’m old enough to remember when the was shame attached to racists and people shunned them. Increasingly people seem proud to wear it as a badge of honour, which is very worrying. | |

Depending on what percentage of his councilors' stipends he demands as their contribution to party coffers, he may well have covered that item of expenditure off the back of today's results alone.
It's been a big money-maker for Reform Ltd today as well. 1,146 new councillors so far. Even if they take a very minimal £1,000 from each councillor's stipend, that's an extra £1,146,000 in Nigel's business account. Probably the most legitimate/no-strings-attached money he's brought in in a single day.
