Hull Vs Millwall 20:11 - May 8 with 2263 viewstonybied

I hope the quality improves soon. Other than the early Hull chance, the first 10 minutes has been awful!

First legs are always shíte, cagey affairs. Second legs are usually brilliant and then a tight boring final.

I give you Peterborough vs Sheff Wed as an example of how first legs can be!

Now those two games were an exception to all of the rules.

We could do with a bit of that drama tonight!

It’s been very cagey and cautious. Neither team look much, but as has been said, it’s often that way first leg.

38 minutes, terrible football. We did the job , just, but as a footballing side we’re so much better than theses.

Not great, more nervy, I guess to be expected, Millwall having the lions' share of the ball

Yes been a poor watch so far but one thing I have noticed is that Azeez is different from Clarke and Phil in as much as he often looks to cross quite early.

I saw the stat pre-match that said these were the top 2 teams for enjoying less than 50% possession in matches this season.

Horrifying to think we could have been pipped to the autos by this Millwall outfit and had to spend another 180 mins messing about with Hull’s anti-football approach.

It used to great on here when people let me say whatever I wanted and giggled along - (Rough translation of post from un-named TWTD contributor, 2026)

Can’t see either one of these troubling the Premier League next season. Hopefully one of them makes it. Preferably Hull.

Think it's very much 2 teams not wanting to lose the first leg as the first consideration. Remember the Millwall second half at Portman rd recently.

I've been involved with Sunday league matches which have had more quality than this!

Wouldn’t mind Sturge as back up fur Davis.

Was just gonna post the same. Very similar in style although Sturge seems more physical

Yes, Sturge looks decent. Also, Coburn has an excellent first touch for a big, target man - he looks like a big upgrade on Hirst and could be our 2nd/3rd choice striker.

Plenty of first leg games have been cracking games.

2-2 away against Bolton is another example.

Barnsley beat Birmingham 4-0 in their first leg that year

There have only been eight 0-0 first leg play off games from the last 50 games
