Bournemouth is odd. Given the amount of money around it and its location & nice beach it should be a nicer experience. I know some of the twee coastal areas nearby are more popular, but Bournemouth itself shouldn't be this much of a dive.

Areas of Clacton frequently rank as the most deprived area of England. So Clacton is undoubtedly poor. I don't think that's necessarily the reason Farage doesn't visit, I think that's because he's a grifter who's too busy selling himself elsewhere and prefers to deliver lazy sound bites from a distance to keep the supporters happy.
