| Well this is shit on 16:45 - May 19 with 743 views | vilanovablue | It was depressingly predictable. Apparently UEFA aren't happy but also predictable they are not going to do anything about and merely shrug their shoulders. | | | |

I've ended up watching plenty of Town games on Fawanews and the like, but I'd rather watch the Champions League final on my 4k TV than shitty res phone | | | | Login to get fewer ads

Thin end of the wedge though, isn't it. Getting people to pay *anything* to watch previously-free events will be the first and most significant hurdle for them to overcome. Once they get acceptance of having to pay, they can start increasing the price.

Exactly, it's the slow creep of enshittification of everything, just rather depressing.
| Well this is shit on 17:40 - May 19 with 415 views | MattinLondon | Even if it were on BBC it wouldn’t be free as you’ll need a tv licence. I wouldn’t be surprised if after some bad publicity, TNT will then offer it for free. | | | |

Exactly, would UEFA take a few million Euro hit if TNT sports said they'd give it to the punters for free providing they get a discount on the megabucks they spent getting the rights? They're more than happy to sell to the highest bidder, difficult to moan after the event about something that's clearly allowed on TNTs part. Still shit mind!
