Adam Webster 18:57 - May 29 with 1687 viewsfredbarber

Just been released by Brighton.

Could be worth a signing on a free. Bit of premier league experience

Given his injury record - he's virtually never played 30 games in a season - would you be recommending Webster if he hadn't spent a couple of seasons at Town?

Not a bad player at all, unfortunately as we all know, very injury prone.

David Linighan has a bit of Premier League experience. I’m sure he could do a job and would probably play more games.

Are we really scraping around the hasbeen, pensioner section again? Young - I’m sure he was great from a support the dressing room angle, but as a player he was about as useful as a chocolate teapot.

No never fit for 3 games on the bounce.

Bristol City made the cash on Webster, buying him from us for a reported £3.5m to £7m and selling him two years later for a reported £20m. The little money we raised was given to Paul Hurst to secure the signings he had identified. Dark days!

Yeah, he’s too injury prone to risk, but why make up stupid stats that aren’t true to say that.

I think that ankle injury many moons ago, did
For him.... probably got arthritis in it now tbh... Not for us now at PL level, too demanding unfortunately.

Deary me … yet more sentiment. Can’t understand the obsession of ex players. Particularly ones with significantly bad injury records.

We need to sign a top CB to partner DOS. Webster isn’t that.

By a certain Mark Ashton I believe, decent player trading that!

If he's willing to be the 26/27 version of richard keogh, absolutely. We wouldn't need to rely on him to play every game as we already have 3 very capable CBs (i assume we're signing kipre, aren't we?). First good realistic shout i've seen on here this summer.

Poll: Which would you accept?

If he had just come off a season of say 20+ top flight games, then i'd be all over this but he was out for the entire season and that makes it too big of a risk.

If we must have an ex-Town player return in the 'experience' squad place then Tyrone Mings would be a better option. Perhaps we just need to move on, with new heroes.
