I’m looking at a couple of trips away in autumn and found them to be quite a bit cheaper to my potential destinations than the other low cost airlines who I have used several times in the past with no issues whatsoever.
Not flown with Wizz Air before so in your experience, are they comparable and fairly reliable?

We have no village green, or a shop. It's very, very quiet. I can walk to the pub.

Have used a couple of times before for central European trips. Never had a problem. Just another no frills, low cost airline like EasyJet

used them a few times to get to Poland and Romania. Cheap, no frills. Seemed to run pretty well on time. Tended to be less regular on some routes, so as long as you can make it work for your trip, they are ok.

Flew back from Valencia with them three days ago having flown out with them a week before.
Generally pretty good for a no frills airline, no issues with checking weight, bags etc - we had three young uns with us meaning we had too many bags and were probably overweight.
Both flights were delayed - the first by about 30 mins and the second by 2 hours. Not sure either was their fault but there was minimal communication or help, especially at Valencia and it took ages to get through bag drop at Valencia for no obvious reason other than not enough desks.
Crew were very friendly and helpful onboard.
Overall they were ok, certainly better than Ryanair and maybe on a par with Easyjet. Not as good as Jet2 in my opinion.

Flew Tromso from Luton. I place Wizz Air higher than Ryanair and Easy Jet. Luton airport was quite pleasant also.

I have used them quite a few times, and over the last few years have had reason to travel a lot so can compare against other lower-cost airlines. I think they are good. They are no frills, but not aggressively cheapskate like Ryanair etc.

I also find the air team are really good - more than once I have asked for a white wine, then the hostess looks at me and says "two white wines then", "no," i reply, "just one thanks.." - then she looks at me, winks and says "two" before charging me for one. On both occasions I have then walked to the loo and seen every single person who ordered a drink got two.

I quite like Luton airport. Flew from there twice last year and found it much less manic than Stansted.

Thank you all for your responses. Think I’ll give Wizz Air a go.

Oh, it's far far far better than what Stansted has become. When it opened, Norman Foster's design was wonderful, it was crisp, clean, organised, smart - but it's awful today, a truly crap experience.

Yes I flew to Bucharest and I was grateful for a little extra legroom compared to Ryanair. It was fine for the price.
