if our new manager was in place by the end of the week. I also wouldn't be surprised if McKenna had a hand in selecting them.

If that’s the case I hope it’s Ole Gunnar Solskjær

Is it correct that some of the owners were in Town today? Wouldn't surprise me if the club have made the announcement on Kieran now (after sitting on it for 2 weeks) because we're on the verge of an appointment.

With the report saying that knew a couple of weeks ago I wouldn’t be surprised either.

This is obviously what the big meeting was about - hence the timing of the announcement. But I wouldn’t be at all surprised to learn that they also signed off on a new manager.

Per The Guardian:

"Ipswich are not expected to appoint a replacement immediately but the role will be considered attractive. They are well backed by a consortium of US-based investors and will open a new training ground before next season."

Having seen how well Keith Andrews has done, with no prior experience, is it time to turn to another former Town midfield legend?

Step forward Jay Tabb… or is that too much of a leap?

He’s already in the building, Ashton probably sees himself doing that job as well.
