One of the biggest problems is the refusal of governments to hold social media companies to account for the vile stuff they circulate. It doesn’t have to be that way. Look at this place. Technically it’s social media, but there are no aggressive algorithms pumping hate into people’s veins and any nonsense isn’t tolerated by the owners (or users). X is turning into 4Chan these days with no consequences. Truth Social, no consequences. Facebook, no consequences. Etc. | |

Trouble is, whether it’s Tories or Labour what can they do? Everything Labour says against them immediately sees them charged as Orwellian etc and all sorts of noise around digital ID etc | |
