To my surprise, we (the people working onsite) have been told strictly nobody is to speak to him or those with him, even if we are spoken to. If we do we risk being escorted off site.
Others working here have told me that this is common practice when working here, with the same rules applied to the players before/after training.
There must be 20 season ticket holders, and regular away fans on this site. Was excited to start this next few weeks of work, bit of a dampener on it now.

Shame. Also feels a bit short sighted to me because while you don't want tons of workers fan girling our players and new manager, I would view it as a good opportunity to give GON a sense of the community, the depth of passion for the club in the area etc. Bit of a gentle reminder of the people he's representing on a Saturday afternoon, paying their hard earned to fund his wages etc. Especially in his first few days, a real life example that he's joined something big. |  | | |

Not everyone onsite is a Town, or football fan. A quick walk by and handshake surely wouldn't have ended the world.

Yeah because if the likes of Man City or Liverpool etc see our brilliant training facilities on social media they are gonna crap themselves. Despite our new facilities being an improvement on the previous (which wouldn’t be hard) it’s hardly Carrington or Melwood. Think we have a way to go before we have facilities like the Etihad Campus which we would probably name the Ashton Campus although we all know if should either be the Ramsey or Robson campus !!! | | | |
