| Roy Keane makes no sense #456666 on 00:49 - Jun 28 with 1683 views | N2_Blue | a team can have more of a go without quality you know? Scotland's performance was utterly abject. Far inferior sides have taken it to teams or put up more of a fight. Clarke was doomed when he didn't pick what would probably have been the best striker. Not taking mcBurnie was absurd. They’re there to fill in time. This tournament I’ve mostly switched off, over, made a cup of tea etc while those idiots are gassing on, Keane begins to look like a miserable version of Uncle Albert. | | | |

| Roy Keane makes no sense #456666 on 09:43 - Jun 28 with 1222 views | RIPbobby | I think they messed up v Moroccan and Brazil by not having enough worker bees in midfield. Horses for courses. Versus Haiti you play your luxury player mcginn and he scores and wins them the match. Then versus m and b you just put your quick, fit blocker players for the first 60 or 70 minutes, then bring on mcginn late on to provide quality. The African teams do this all the time... Have a midfield that gets in the way and blocks space and you shut down the best sides. Mcginn is not quick enough or mobile enough to be a worker bee. Look at the Argentina midfield... Not very big at all, but they work their socks off. Not the best players, but they play in the best team shape. It works. Probably why England will fall short is the two wingers. You really need two more workers bees just as rice and Anderson are. Well that's what I think anyway. | | | |

Obviously the lack of Hirst’s minutes is the main striker talking point on here, but that was indeed an utterly bizarre decision. McBurnie far better than Dykes (than all of them) and it’s not even close. Clarke had his favourites and seemed extremely limited. Also, to not be able to get half a tune out of a midfield pairing of McTominay and McGinn was criminal.

I saw an interview with lambert and he was happily saying the could probably afford to lose 3-0 to Brazil and still qualify! Clarke said something similar but less direct. There is no braveheart spirit, they are beaten before they get on the pitch. They beat themselves.

Just inane talking heads. It would be nice if the broadcasters picked some interesting lesser known pundits, than the usual tedious ‘names’. | | | | Login to get fewer ads

The biggest waste of space was Duncan Ferguson. Hopefully he’s gone home with the Scots.

Anyone would think that the skills needed to be a football manager are different to that of being a football pundit.

Skills such as Rooney describing a goal with fabulous insight ‘it was just touch, touch, bang’? Worth every penny…
