The most boring International football team....? 20:43 - Jul 2 with 1102 viewsBloots

....not the crappiest, just the dullest.

Austria? They always seem to be around, but never actually do anything.

Or maybe Switzerland.

They are playing ok tonight. Until they get near the Spanish area.

...that's what I mean.

Never interesting. No interesting results, either positive or negative. They always seem to get to the stage you expect them to. Never had any notable players (probably wrong).

Just dull.

Hans Krankl was very well regarded from memory but yeah, not been a huge amount of standouts. Way before our time, they had a decent side in the 1930s.

The Salzburg academy is one of the best in Europe which probably keeps them stable enough.

Their kit is quite snazzy though.

I reckon the Swiss and the Swedes are a lot duller. Been a good couple of decades since they had decent enough players to be exciting in any sense.

Belgium will be rivalling them again soon in a tournament or two.

They are a bit of an international Crewe or Preston. They just exist.

....have been interesting in that they have either overachieved or underachieved in relatively recent years.

Austria (and Switzerland) never seem to.

Disagree on the kit, even that's dull.

Germany at the moment. Quite a few good players but the togetherness and excitement of a Lambert team

Alaba played for Bayern and Real Madrid somehow.

In the spirit of reconciliation and happiness at the end of the Banter Era (RIP) and as a result of promotion I have cleared out my ignore list. Look forwards to reading your posts!

I thought our " National Anthem " ( it isn't a National Anthem, it's a homage to the reigning monarch, very little National about it ), was grim, until I heard Austria's some years back! God knows what the likes of Strauss would have made of it!
