That's not really what's meant by inequality though.
What people are talking about is the disparity in wealth between the top couple of % and the rest, which is now fairly extreme. Which is a function of asset prices ballooning while real wage growth has stagnated.
What you're talking about is simply improving living standards over time - which I agree with btw, capitalism is, imo, the best system we have. | | | |
