I think Tuchel learnt last night how good rice is. Even when Ill he stopped Norway doing much last night. Why the manager swapped rice for Eze I will never know? What was wrong with Mainoo. After HT we lost control of the game. But to be fair to England they found a way to win.The Azteca and then Miami was always going to be tough, but we did it. It's just a case of keeping your players fit now.
Another mammoth test in the semi final. Not the opponent, but what happened in 82 may lead to a very inspired opponent. Hopefully everyone keeps their heads and treats it as another match. I do feel we are the better side, but it may be a case to start an X1 that can do the hard yards if we have doubtful players. The manager got lots wrong last night, but he lives to fight another day. Possibly but when I was there years ago I didn't really get that feeling. Perhaps out of BA and in the more rural locations that is true but I was only in BA and everyone was really nice.
Guess they might mean nothing with regards to football but I didn't really think they were that fussed about the Falklands. Seems to just be a distraction tactic used by the government when things aren't going well.
I might of course be totally wrong, this was all a long while ago.

I suspect it’s a lot like pockets of arbitrary hatred in the UK, people look for a group to blame.
I lived in BA for a few months, great place and people, very proud nation, love their football, possibly even more then us, and one thing they do acknowledge is that sailors from the UK brought them the beautiful game.., I think there’s some anti sentiment, but it’s a small minority.
I’d live there in a heartbeat. Great food, football, weather and people, not economically great, and you need to be on toes crime wise a bit more than here - but such a fascinating place.
Get a feeling they’ve turned the corner economically now. Also think this might be our time to beat them.., we’ll see, should be a cracker. | | | |

Having been in Argentina earlier this year, from my experience the people I met were very friendly but I was advised by our local guide never to use the F-word & just call them "the islands" or the Malvinas. 649 Argentinians died in the war, many of whom were conscripts & there were plenty of murals & signs saying "Las Malvinas son Argentinas". I did visit Puerto Madryn, where most POWs were repatriated & some interesting stories about how they were treated. |  |

I of course can't speak to SB's trip but I assume if you're on holiday then you're probably speaking a lot to people who work in hospitality e.g. tour guides, taxi drivers, restaurateurs etc who rely on and/or want to encourage tourism.
Therefore you're unlikely to ever be made to feel unwelcome at a guess.
I was in Kyoto a couple of months ago - people we spoke to and saw couldn't have been nicer nor done anymore for my partner and I. It is well understood though that locals absolutely hate the tourists! [Post edited 12 Jul 16:35]

I went to Japan last year for the first time & was overwhelmed by the hospitality of the Japanese. They've put locals in place to assist tourists, not sell them over-priced tours. But yes, tourism in Japan has grown exponentially, largely because of the weakness of the Yen and as Japan is a collection of over-crowded islands, many of the locals resent this, although this wasn't at all obvious. | |

I said the same yesterday when people were commenting on the level of the performance. I dont think we should downplay the impact on the body of playing at altitude in the Azteca with 10 men and then kicking off in the heat of Miami. The players looked very leggy but dug in and got the job done.

Argentina also played a 120 minute quarterfinal, after our game. Pretty much the same for both teams. | |
