Quite funny, that.

Not a prophet, or a stone-age man; just a mortal with potential of a superman.

The state of the replies to that tweet. My fault for reading Twitter really but bloody hell, it's weapons grade stupidity as usual.

The depth of ingrained polarisation is quite scary.

Even if I despised Starmer, I'd have to admit that it was an amusing tweet, and rather refreshing for the PM to be having a little laugh like this.

"Won a football match but the country looks like Pakistan."

The first reply and from someone in the US.

I'm fairly centre-right politically but some of the garbage on X was a real eye opener.

A lot of far right US based tweeters seemed to adopt Norway as some kind of racially pure dream team in a way that wouldn't have seemed out of place in the 1940's.

Yeah the only people that the American establishment does not discriminate between at present is despots. Trump seems to love Putin, and as you say, some of what comes out of his mouth and those of his acolytes would not be out of place in certain parts of Europe in the 1930s or 40s.

Roll on the mid-terms...

but that wasnt a "helluva beating", wasnt even close to one. so for me it doesnt change my opinion on whoever said it, its just a dumb take, to the game we all actually watched, why couldnt he just congratulate Norway on a hard fought close game ?

its like why even try to crowbar in that thing, it was 45 years ago ffs

It does at the moment - sun-burnt brown grass everywhere and public spaces turning to deserts. Not too many glaciers though.

I’m pretty sure that’s what they meant lol

It’s almost as if he doesn’t give an shIt any more.

As an aside, anyone still using twitter is a contributory to the cesspit.

Delete it.

Oh for crying out loud it’s just lighthearted banter. No need to take things so seriously.
