Not this time. It's a UK extradition order, that a federal court has signed off on. Looking around it seems that POTUS has no say in the matter, and Rubio is the only person who could stop it.
But, thanks to the UK/US extradition treaty, the only valid reasons Rubio could stop it is down to concerns that the charges are purely political or that those arrested would face torture.
Given the seriousness and number of the charges, and the absolute diplomatic explosion that would result if somehow the extradition was blocked, that might be a step too far even for Trump.... | | | |
