Yes, particularly in such a key area for us. That's not to say he may not do well at Hull. That's the gamble they are prepared to take.
I'd say the only one to really come off for us a little was Axel ( and Luongo as mentioned above)
Far more failures, Panutche Camara remaining probably the worst signing we made with a known injury. [Post edited 22 Jul 16:48]

31 with a history of muscular injuries, never played in the PL, it's a hard pass regardless if he is a free. |  |

We didn't take the risk on Broja. I think that was the right call even if it meant we were a striker short. He wouldn't have provided what we needed.
I guess there's a whole range between failing a medical on an issue that is unlikely to be resolved any time soon and failing it on something that can easily clear up quickly. Did Tuanzebe and Luongo actually fail medicals anyway? Indeed, how much is a medical such a thing as a pass/fail? |  |

Yes I think that shows the difference of where we are vs Hull (I.e building from a better base), we now have the luxury of not having to take such gambles that we did last time. I’d add Philips to that category too since there were questions over his match fitness. | | | |

Medicals are a interesting conundrum aren't they. Are they all the same? What is the test criteria? Are they position specific? ie Does a keeper get tested the same as a CM?
Surely Tuanzabe had his best career minutes with us? Did he have a 'Ledley King's kind of training schedule? It's all very relative to me.
If he is free transfer then surely there is less risk? Remember what happened to that chap travelling from France to Cardiff. Bizzare. |  | | |

Tuanzebe still missed more games than we would have liked.
So while he certainly wasn’t a failure, he wasn’t a roaring success either as he missed too many games.
Luongo certainly worked out. |  |

Was Luongo a risk?
Only half a season, on a free, dropped down a division, was training with us before he joined us. Don't think there was much risk there..... and expectations were quite low. | | | |

Was it Brentford who turned Cajuste down because he failed their medical? And then we signed him. He was absent for quite a lot of those first months.
A lot of people think Cajuste had a great season for us in the PL, but I never was a fan because he didn't seem to have a great engine and didn't do the dirty work. But I question his fitness as well. Think we took too much of a risk with him ... so maybe we've learnt a lesson. | | | |
