If someone can talk Jaden round then do, as we need players and i think we still 7, possibly 8 which is too many given the fact our recruitment processes are adjusting to get to the level it needs to be.
Pains me to say that if he does not want to play for town but last thing we want is Mark and the gang to start panic buying and bringing in a load of players that are not good enough and we can't sell on. [Post edited 30 Jul 7:28]

But we're going to need one of those, preferably expeienced. Certainly a CM, maybe two. If we are playing three at the back, will need another CB as cover or improvement.
Beyond that, it's all about squad improvement and how much the club wants to spend.
So, for me, we need four, plus maybe one or two more for cover/upgrades. We will sign at least those four, because we have to, probably spending decent money. Probably five or six over the remainder of the window (including the two loan slots) - but it depends whether good targets unexpectedly become available. To make a total of ten or eleven senior players for the window. |  |

At FB we have Davis, Furlong and Johnson (cover), plus O'Shea and Greaves who can do a job on their respective sides at a push. Burns was originaly signed as a RWB, before moving further forward. Humphreys (if still around) has played LB.
Certainly we can improve in those positions, but it's not vital, for me. Another CB would be a higher priority, to stop us conceding so many goals (particularly late ones).

I view it slightly differently.
I'd rather see 5-6 (plus 1 more if Jaden is sold) high quality additions. Quality rather then quantity. Unless we are terribly unlucky with injuries, we just need 17-18 really good players in the squad (a stable starting 11 and bench is worth several points imo). For me the likes of Furlong, Mehmeti are fine if called on from time to time rather than relied on as part of the spine of the team.
As I've also often said, I rate some of our players higher than some do. For me Ogbene and McAteer are perfectly ok as bench players (and some starts to provide a bit of rotation.
We'll see where we are squad-wise in 9 weeks, and who was right about how many additions there were - and then, if it is only 5-6/7, the judgement will be on May 30th at 6pm | | | |
