There are legitimate issues around immigration and to what extent it should be limited, or to what social and economic benefits new arrivals should be entitled. Particularly as the vast majority of immigration is legal (e.g. international students).
However, it has been whipped up into a storm by those more concerned with votes than truth, particularly by conflating legal with illegal immigration and attributing criminality to those who have come.
The proper debate is not being had, so a lot of what is said and written on the subject can be dismissed as hyperbole, if not outright manipulation. |

Implying that Israel is somehow engineering mass immigration in to Europe is a classic case of antisemitism. It's levelled against Israel because Israel is a Jewish state, and it is an old fashioned Jewish conspiracy theory. I'm no fan of Israel, but the origins of such a theory are pretty obvious. Not sure of the long term plot but it's being widely discussed here that the Moroccans have the support of Israel and the US in orchestrating the mass movement of kids into Ceuta. One prominent Catalan politician I saw just now describing the use of their own kids as cannon fodder to appease their backers.
As I said before I don't think it's conspiracy theory to suggest who might be behind this. It clearly wasn't a spontaneous movement of people so some orchestration was almost certain. It's only natural to look at countries who have recently been threatening Spain or ones with historical grievances. Or a combination of them all. |  | | |

Yeah, I don't see the outrage here. Israel and the US have recently been threatening Spain. Relations with Morocco have always been strained. Then there's the smuggling gangs and their backers.

I think it's part of a wider debate and a process of destabilisation in the region from the US. Italy has announced it's closing Schengen agreements temporarily which is completely daft as this is all still confined to the African continent.
It means Trump, Musk etc can point to serious issues ongoing in Spain and Europe regarding migration. Israel can look on smugly at the unrest, Farage etc can hark on about threats to our civilization so everyone's a winner. Well except the 30 or so kids who drowned yesterday. | | | |
