Better when dropped back into midfield. Reminded me of Hoddle.

Done ok, still looks low in confidence to me. But has shown some super touches - his long passes have been better than the short, ans a lovely FK for Furlong just now.

i'm not sure i like him picking up the ball deep almost as a CB.

In saying this, the game is a very gentle pace so hard to work out exactly who is going where.

Very decent half of footy from SWE, think he could be a handy player off the bench if he doesn't get a loan

I just wish he was half a yard quicker or slightly more explosive.

I don't think we will even try and loan him out. Doesn't count for a squad place and might be needed in the season depending on injuries.

Give him 12 months and we will have some player.

I’ll get pelters for this, but he looks way off the level needed. He’s short on pace and his set pieces are very tame, no power, whip or dip on them. He does look more at home centrally, and is a tidy player with a nice touch and sometimes uses his body really well. It’s just that power and pace area where he’s going to come up short in the PL at this stage of his career. I think this season will be too soon for him to make any sort of impact. You watch - he’ll be player of the season now!

Lots of space out there tonight, but when he dropped deeper his technique to drop a ball on a six pence was very impressive I have to say.

Yeah, he’s firmly still a prospect. I worry that people think he’s going to make his mark this season and expect too much of him.
