So many of them acting really disappointed with the Wes Burns signing, it’s sad to see. He’s a legend here and loved by every single one of us. The Chappers connection aside, I don’t really know why he’s lowering himself to that cesspit of misery.

The owners on the other hand I lost all respect when they sacked Ranieri, should have had a job for life after delivering the Pl title. They're gonna walk L1 with Burns and Chaplin tearing it up.

I've told them that they're getting two really good blokes, and that Chappers at least, will soon demonstrate what a good footballer they've got. Wes, shorn of searing pace, may prove less of an instant hit, but remember he was once a full-back before he was a flying winger. |
They should be really good signing for their year in League 1. Burns will be delighted with a 3 year deal at 31, presumably with salary uplifts/bonuses if Leicester return to the Championship. Russell Martin, despite the haters on here, will have them playing football & these are 2 good signings who won't be picky about playing in League 1.

It's quite clear that the Leicester owners have Chappers lined up as Player Manager with Wes as his Assistant once Russell Martin manages to Russel Martin up this opportunity to rebuild his career.

They were the champions of England a decade ago and they are seeing us sell championship squad level players to them for peanuts. At the same time we are about to kick off a Premier League season. Of course it stings. By the way, none of our 2024 team have done much since leaving here and Burns is coming of two injuries and the wrong side of 30. I doubt there is much excitement about anything in Leicester at the moment. Of course we wish our former players well and they’re edged in to Ipswich folklore but we have got a PL season to worry about! [Post edited 7 Aug 4:31]
