I think that assist for Davis has flown under the radar a bit. It really was class and he didn’t even look when he passed it because he’d already seen where Leif was going to be before he received the ball. That’s real quality there - I think he’s going to be some player, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Watched a few times now, it was brilliant. I think the only old squad player who could have done similar would be Broadhead, and he was never that deep or central.

My question is, could Hirst have finished that in the way Emersonn did? That was a perfectly cushioned header. Can Hirst do that if he is given a similar service from deep, over the top of the defence?

That threat adds something new this season.
