Yes - one that on first look you think 'wow that would be a serious coup, realistically we have no chance' but when you really get under the bonnet of it, there is a reason we could be in with a chance. I am not sure we are in a position where we can afford to break our transfer record and pay over 100 grand a week to a player with a history of injuries. | | | |

Assuming our new training ground is top of the range everything his injury record might just be the reason he sees ITFC as an attractive option to resurrect his career.

If it wasn't for Bayer, Leverkusen would be a nothing town. I went there some years ago (for a meeting at Bayer) and the town is quite small. At the time I was living in Bracknell, which is twinned with Leverkusen. The towns are about the same size, although one is richer! |  |

This relates to an article that came out in German media after the first interest, I don't believe it is new and we don't know exactly how true it is.
Romano for sure has a relationship with his agent, Kristian Bereit.
So whatever way it's sliced up, his representatives would want it out there that we have made an offer.
We could just be being used to drum up interest or get another club moving, but I doubt we would keep pursuing if it ITFC were told there is no chance he would entertain a move to us. The interest had been in the media about 10 days now so they could have shut us down a while ago. [Post edited 10 Aug 15:23]
