We finish 18th with the current squad I think, hoping by September 1st we can get the 3-4 or so more in to get us 17th-15th. Two starters and a few depth piece or two still needed.
If we get a LCB near Diop levels, Palacios and Embolo then we’d go from a credible PL 11 to a legit one! [Post edited 21 Aug 2:03]

Palacios and Embolo through the door + a quality CB and we're cooking on gas and 17th is very much achievable.

Your optimism obviously knows no bounds. Unfortunately I can't see any world in which it's isn't misplaced. Just to get 17th place we probably need to double our points tally from last time. I'm happy our recruitment is better this time but really can't see us being better than 17th. The PL is just brutal for a promoted team and surprises like Sunderland last year really are the exception. Hope I'm wrong though. |  | | |

I’m playing expectations down in my head and with people around me. Deep down I think we will surprise a few. That said the reality of the PL is holding me back. Will feel a lot better about our chances when we have Palacious and Embolo in the door or such like 🤔 |  |
