Hmmmmm - that’s 10! Who does he drop? I’d thought Johnson might get a shout due to being so versatile (as a right wing/ both sided full back) but as pointed out seems he’s being shipped out on loan. McAteer also brings a nice option for the right side and real energy. Maybe Philogene or Clarke to drop out?
It’s tough to work out the subs - which will get tougher when Matusiwa and Taylor (the latter may leave) return and 2-3 more players arrive. But a good problem and the bench is way stronger this Prem campaign. The likes of Akpom, Nunez, Mehmeti may not make the bench regularly (£7m + £7.5m + £3m of fees). [Post edited 21 Aug 8:55]

Let's do the basics really well this season and play the best players in their best positions. O Shea should always start at centre half and lead the team from there.

Yeah - when you look at the subs profile, and think about the current set of players who are capable of starting in the left sided attacking berth - Maeda, Enciso*, Clarke, Mehemti, and Philogene. Its loaded. Although Mehmeti and Enciso both are more likely as the 10 role, competing with Egeli.
Does seem likely Jaden may depart. But we do need real depth.
Feels light in the right attacking berth though with Burns departs.
*Enciso mainly started on the left side in his loan spell here. | |

Can't see it at all. We're way more likely to try and fit Greaves, Diop and O'Shea in than we are to drop one for Furlong.
Ouattara may be bedded in over the next few games and eventually be the starter but I can't see it first game of the season when he's had a week on the training ground. |  |
