As the deadline approaches & our apparent main targets going elsewhere, I could see us making a move for Mark Guiu. He may not be the experienced PL striker we were hoping for, but he has the profile of frontman that we are after. Tall, strong, pacy, good technically & in the air, can hold possession & link with our on-rushing attackers when on the break.
He has been linked with clubs abroad, but was prepared to go to Sunderland last season, before Chelsea blocked it & brought him back. Wouldn't have been my #1 choice, but could be a decent shout on loan with an option/obligation based on performance/minutes. | |
