I've read 'online' that Jack Clarke is now linked with Boro and West Ham on a permanent deal. He's been great for us and would command a decent fee. It would be sad to see him leave, especially as Philogene has shown less commitment to the cause yet remains with Town.

I asked the OP a really reasonable question. Blue Funk decided to jump in on that and accuse me of being 'superior'. Now I'm being told I'm argumentative, and yet Phil has never left me with a flashing red box.

I don't for one second imagine that if BF had called you 'superior' you would just go, "yeah alright I was' and back down. And honestly I've gotten a bit fed up with going to post stuff on here and then deleting it incase someone doesn't like it, yet everyone else seems to with impunity.

Just as a side note, I played for Cheltenham back in the day. They were non league then. The second side I look for after us of course.

Doesn't he have a history of sore throats every transfer window in case there is another sign on fee vaguely possible?

Him and his agent are pretty shameless.

I don't want to be argumentative about it, so I'll stay out of it now.

Be utter madness to sell him, one of our best performers for a while now

I think JC has more about him than JP. I would keep JC and tell WHU and Wolves they can have JP if they so wish.

Please don't take this the wrong way, but you seem quite argumentative lately. We are in the PL, a time to be happy.

In purely footballing terms Philogene is a much better player than Clarke.

Clarke can be dangerous but it's broadly a passenger without the ball and give it away so cheaply. But still I enjoy having Clarke for his good qualities and the goals.

There was something in him interested in a movie. Many players are. That makes me uneasy. But I would play Philogene ove Clarke every time. Clarke may well be pushing for this move to be honest as a little odd.

I would suggest every player has their price. Quite whether those Championship clubs are willing to pay the price we would accept and offer him a better deal than he is on here is another question. I don't see why we would be keen to sell nor why he would be keen to take that step down.

His agent literally paid for an advertisement to be put up by one of the most watched transfer commentators saying he was ready to leave Ipswich this summer.

Whilst you cannot blame the player for these actions without proof it was his call, you also cannot blame fans to decide from this and his history of moving clubs that his heart may not be in it.

Equally I doubt many of our squad are here because their heart is in it and that is just reality of club and player side of transfers. See how Hirst was shown the door over Akpom. It is therefore harsh to single our criticism towards Philogene.

Its not my call but I think JC should be given his chance over JP given he is the better impact substitute and for me shows more hunger. Also given his versatility with both feet I really do struggle to understand as a layman why Philogene cannot be played on the right.

O'Neil has done so at the one opportunity, starting Clarke over Philogene in the one matchday squad he has been in, and strikes me as the type who wouldn't be impressed by players hijinks.

Yes but JP was not available to be fair and this post is about JC being sold.

I hope it stays that way and both also stay given season has started. Imagine after Wolves GON has been somewhat put off player hijinks for life.

I know previous cameos have not been as wished for but it would be really great if one of the two of them starts to magically play as well on the right.

Given he's played there for England U21 and as previously posted above with his shooting feet versatility, shirley Jaden the one who is more able to move over to that side successfully. He played on the right for Hull as well didn't he? I know Prem is a different cuttle of fish.

Philogene was never going to start when returning from injury.

Clarke has been on good form so deserves his place.

O'Neil will recognise the difference between form and the normal level a player is at. Continued good form is a sign of an improvement in level, though.

Right now there must be little between the two of them both of whom are Premier League squad level. We want Premier League squad players so why would we be looking to move either on. On that basis we would need an offer above their basic value to turn our heads.

Why on earth would he want to drop to the Championship, when he's going to be regularly playing Prem football at Ipswich?

And why would Town be so in need of the fee that we are willing to sell a player of his calibre?

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Explain how Philogene has "shown less commitment to the cause"?
[Post edited 26 Aug 21:02]

Plus the fact his injury record doesn't make the greatest of reading and he turns up for away games about once every 3 months. All a shame really as we know what he can do when " on it ".
