Press are full of it, but the bookies are thinking unlikely. I'd also say doubtful, just wishing!

| Oasis at Glastonbury... on 09:34 - Sep 11 with 1638 views | Guthrum | Liam stayed on our backstage last time, as he didn't want to be with his brother. While not really friendly (some artists are), he was pleasant enough. Had a gigantic winnebego which got marooned in the mud in the middle of the compound. It had a little hatch with a Smart Car in the back. | |

Rumours I've seen are Harry Styles, Billie Eilish and Sam Fender as the headliners. Oasis are supposedly revisiting Knebworth and Liam has been quite vocal on X about not playing Glastonbury.

Wouldn’t be surprised if Oasis deliberately pick dates to clash with Glastonbury.

I can't imagine a crowd less aligned to Oasis than Glastonbury. (or atleast a large % of them)

I really like Sam Fender. Saw him supporting the Killers at the Emirates a few years ago.

| Oasis at Glastonbury... on 18:52 - Sep 11 with 898 views | blueoutlook | Won’t happen. They don’t need to play to the prawn sandwich brigade that Glastonbury has become. Knebworth will happen though. Although it’s a b@rstard to get to. I will be at all the shows home and abroad by the way………….. | | | |
| Oasis at Glastonbury... on 18:55 - Sep 11 with 896 views | WolfieAtTheBack | Glastonbury would not stump up the fee for Oasis, they would demand 8 - 10 m + a rider probably worth another 500k - 1m. Def info. | | | |

The highest fee they will pay is 500k + Rider. From my experience as an agent for artists I have never had a fee of note for a band playing Glastonbury in like 20 years ha - Free tickets of course plus pop and crisps yes.

Must be a bit of a dilemma for bands offered gigs at Glastonbury for little or no fee. On the one hand the cliche of 'exposure' always does feel a p1ss take, but on the other hand any festival (let alone Glastonbury) gives the chance of picking up new fans in a way that just doing gigs doesn't. It's still a p1ss take from Glastonbury, but I imagine a lot of bands just go with it?

I remember The Prodigy making headlines over Reading 1998 for ‘demanding’ £250k for what wasn’t even the final show of the night (That was Beastie Boys). But they were at the peak of their commercial heft at that point. Only two years earlier they even had Oasis be their warm down act at Knebworth. In 2027, they are headlining at Creamfields. I’d do that over Glasto, Oasis or not. Probably a third the price too.

Well yeah. Oasis would be perfect for Glastonbury in 2027 at 400 a go. Feck that. Junction 2 for me next year. Any tips for something more guitar, dubbers?

My favourite new albums this year are from the following - all very different from each other, all ace: Spacemoth - psychedelic space pop Westside Cowboy - classic indie rock Sweeping promises - hooky post punk Pigeon - afro disco ish. Hard to nail down a genre! Angine De poitrine - fancy dress math rock, lots of hype, but deliver on it Show Me The Body - punchy hardcore punk Just re-read and realised you were asking for festivals mot bands, oh well, have these recommendations anyway! The two stand out festivals for me are still Green Man and End of the Road. GM sells out in seconds these days though, and we didn't manage to get a ticket this year. [Post edited 12 Sep 7:55]

Every band I know will play for next to nothing as long as they are billed correctly on the main poster and everything else that goes with it on social media. It is a really good thing to have on your profile as playing Glastonbury plus you get to hang out back stages all weekend and have fun.

Well, Glastonbury made almost £8m in pre tax profit in the 2024/25 financial year.
