| Who would you start on the left? 14:22 - Sep 11 with 1075 views | Wallingford_Boy | Not tomorrow, but in a few weeks time, once Philogene has had some minutes. Maeda not really done it yet, Clarke better off the bench, is Philogene's heart really in it? It's a tricky one, but I guess it's a nice problem to have. | |

| Who would you start on the left? on 14:56 - Sep 11 with 936 views | crouchendyachtclub | Wouldn't mind seeing Clarke have a run out. I think in the first couple of games both him and Davis have seemed more rounded as players than under McKenna, which I would assume is a slightly different emphasis in training. Would like to see him have a run of games to see what he can do. | | | |
| Who would you start on the left? on 14:57 - Sep 11 with 932 views | mellowblue | Philogene's heart will be in it. If he see's it as a gateway elsewhere. And as a well paid professional, you would hope his heart is in it anyway. If not, he will feel the wrath of the knotted wet O'Shea towel. | | | |

| Who would you start on the left? on 17:44 - Sep 11 with 752 views | Nutkins_Return | Maeda's shirt to lose. His work rate is immense. Having Clarke and Philogene to come on feels ideal. Philogene to start and get good minutes against Arsenal in the cup. Some games against the lesser teams at home Philogene can be an option from the start. | |

Might be a bit early to say this. He looked decent in the first half against Man U and contributed against Sunderland. We'll learn more over the next few games.
| Who would you start on the left? on 20:06 - Sep 11 with 588 views | Parky | Philogene, our best winger and biggest asset, other than Enciso, arguably. There’s a reason McKenna always started him over Clarke, people seem to be forgetting how much impact he had last season. | | | |
| Who would you start on the left? on 20:18 - Sep 11 with 573 views | mellowblue | Philogene from the start, Clarke or Maeda after 70, Maeda if we are winning, Clarke if losing. | | | |
| Who would you start on the left? on 20:21 - Sep 11 with 560 views | FrimleyBlue | Is Philogene heart not in it? He had a storming champ season. His agent tried his best to get him a move. It didnt happen If he wants the big bucks and a big move. Hes got to shine for us and show what he can do in the prem. If he does he most likely will have streams of clubs wanting him. If he sulks and hides in the backround. Well he may have lost his chance. | |

| Who would you start on the left? on 20:24 - Sep 11 with 559 views | Superblue95 | Maeda away from home or against the bigger teams due to his pressing ability and fitness. Philogene when we’re up against a team we really want to bring the game to. Clarke too erratic to warrant starting in my opinion. He’s either a 9/10 or a 2/10 and never anything in between. If he’s having an off game he’d be a complete liability. | |

| Who would you start on the left? on 23:56 - Sep 11 with 375 views | redrickstuhaart | Maeda. Work rate. Speed. Threat behind the full back. Goals record. Created some of our best chances to date this season. Who would a full back rather play against? A lightweight fellow who always cuts inside. Or someone always at him, faster than him, and inclined to drive past and around him . | |

| Who would you start on the left? on 00:55 - Sep 12 with 325 views | barcelonablue2 | I'd back Maeda for now. Philogene should be challenging Fatawu on the right, purely out of squad balance interest and let JC challenge for the left. Who also looks like he can push his way in. Hasn't found the back of the net but some of the opportunities Maeda has managed to get himself into have been cracking. Two best chances were headers I would not of expected him to put in but he clearly knows how to find the space behind. Also it's his 4 game with Lief and albeit we are no longer playing low blocks in the Championship he looks to have the best understanding with him, of all our wingers on that side. Also have to consider how our games go. If we keep winning even if players want more of a part is any manager seriously going to change? Alternatively if we lose the next however many you have to consider changes don't you. Given Palace will be likely pushing up Khalili in this game to get at us I think this is a potentially great game to see what Daizen Maeda is about. | | | |

Do me a favour. He was anonymous against Liverpool. Over the course of the season he has created 0 big chances and 0 key passes. Best chances? He hasn't created any chances. I won't question his speed or his work rate. But he lacks the 1 v 1 trickery to get past defenders who stand him up, which nullifies his threat. His goals record is just that. But he was playing for Celtic where he would have had far more chances than he will get in the premier league. If I were a full back I would much prefer to play against him than Clarke or Philogene. I would know they had the ability to skin me and Maeda doesn't. He might prove me wrong, but so far I can confidently say he has been underwhelming.
