I repeat, it was no mistake. He didn’t go out there wearing Mr Punch hat with bells, a crocodile and a string of sausages. He dressed up as a crude stereotype character Julius Streicher, editor of Der Sturmer in the 1930s, would have recognised.
And I never claimed anything was unique to Macklemore.

B) You don’t feel like Macklemore, as an advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, can also be anti-genocide? He’s not capable of supporting both causes?

It's not a case of canceling Macklemore. But as I posted when this whole Ed Sheeran story broke, it’s fair to wonder whether “Free Palestine” is just a socially and politically acceptable way for Macklemore to express the same base prejudice as he did when dressing up like this.
