"The league said the commission had found City used schemes “to artificially inflate the club’s revenues, and reduce its costs, by more than £900m during the affected period, to appear to comply with financial rules”."

Can we get that poxy 0-6 result converted to a 3-0? That would be nice. And all footage of it expunged from YouTube.

f they do get hit as hard as most expect they will, I do wonder if they and their fans will suddenly become interested in that super league and the resurrection of it as an idea

Could certainly start a ripple effect which goes God knows where.

What other teams would leave with the biggest cheats in history, who have been cheating them directly. Ideally I wish the would F off.

Won't happen though.... on 18:11 - Sep 29 by Bloots

....if/when they appeal they'll have to appoint an whole new panel to look at it. It'll be months before they get through it again.

As Illy said they'll adopt the siege mentality and probably end up winning the league this season.

Be really annoying if/when we finish second.

Edit: not sure what happened here... posting wise.

Using the same scale of punishment that Everton received, by my calculations, Citteh are due for a 186-point deduction! That’s gotta smart!

Cheers,
JK

It’s noticeable that there is still a huge variation in what experts are sugggesting might happen, and when. Quite a few saying punishment will be brought in before the end of the season, others saying it will hit during next season. A majority seem to be against retrospective punishment (I.e. title stripping) but plenty see that as unacceptable too. Most seem to be expecting multiple year points deductions (I.e. Prem-controlled successive relegations) which there is recent precedent for the EFL going along with. If so, what level would that be? 60 points per season for three seasons?

....I don't see a scenario where they stay in the Prem after all this.

But would the EFL want them?

Might open up the "Super League" option again, get a few like minded "Superteams" on board and they can form their own league.

"The Riyadh Season World Superleague" - Exclusively live on Netflix.

....actually, that sounds feasible.

Using the MK Dons template, I await the Abu Dhabi Sky Blues fixture list for next season

One of their biggest ( let's think about who the PM is too btw)

"UAE officials have reportedly warned that treating the club unfairly could jeopardise future bilateral investment"

The Mubadala Link: The UK-UAE Sovereign Investment Partnership (SIP) has directed over £30 billion into British infrastructure, clean energy, and tech. Crucially, the CEO of Mubadala (the fund driving this capital) is Khaldoon Al Mubarak—who also happens to be the Chairman of Manchester City

The UK government is caught in an incredibly uncomfortable position. Whitehall documents have revealed that the Foreign Office and the UK Embassy in Abu Dhabi have held extensive private discussions regarding Manchester City's charges.
