Still, 5 games unbeaten….

I agree football is much better without VAR. Goalline technology has been around years though, and I have no problem with that.

Fortunately, there's one frame in the youtube video where the ball is on the ground and from the shallow angle, as you say, there's not much gap visible, so when viewed from above I'm 99% certain that's not over the line, whole of the ball.

VAR is not the same as goal-line technology. Goal-line technology is fine, it’s VAR that can get in the bin.

Play some terrific stuff, get stuck in and don't do tap ins! Sooner club can get them back to Ipswich the better, deserve a much bigger audience.

Quality goals, and not for the first time, both scorers were nominated for September goal of the month and look like they will also receive nominations for this month as well. We need to convert Princess’ loan , from a US club, which runs out in December and make her one of our own.

I, too, am being converted! I really enjoyed watching the Cup match on Tuesday and then yesterday's match.

Absolutely. She is very, very good. It might be a struggle to keep her but hopefully we've already got an agreement in place. I'd imagine we'll struggle to keep this pace up, but the women are doing really well and it's incredible to see. Well done to David Wright, proving many wrong, and the new technical director who has transformed the team.

I'm not sure what the expectations are for the women this year? Obviously a lot of work done in the second half of last season to keep them up but I presume this is a season where we aim for mid-table safety rather than pushing for the top 2?

Top half would have been a reasonable target, but now we are third the expectations may be raised. I think third is enough for a play-off spot at the end of the season, so if we continue to do well perhaps we will strengthen the squad again in January.

No, top goes up automatically, 2nd place plays off against 2nd bottom in the WSL.

The expectation would've been "progress" so presumably that means comfortably staying up. I can't see the club pushing any higher at the moment. We might do it but there's a couple of big hitters in the league now and it would be an unlikely push to get promoted again.
