| This latest Prince Nonce stuff 14:54 - Oct 8 with 1424 views | Zx1988 | All feels incredibly convenient for Andrew, doesn't it? Especially with TVP seeming to have just rolled over in court. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/art I presume the illegality of the warrants will render null and void any evidence gained through their use? I'd have thought that, if you're going after Andrew, you'd make sure everything is watertight, in triplicate, before taking any action. You know he's got the best lawyers money can buy, and won't be afraid to use them. I'll break out the tin foil hat now, but to me it stinks of "Sorry old chap, the public are baying for blood. We're going to have to do something, but just make sure your lawyers go through the procedural aspects with a fine-tooth comb, eh?" followed by a funny handshake. [Post edited 8 Oct 15:01]

They publically vet absolutely everything but had no idea about him and Epstein. It's just not believable. Also, it's not royal money? Well where did he get it from then? Charles will not live long enough to care but William will want it well buried anywhere before his ascension

Harry exiled, really ? Think he went of his own free choice, well Megan's choice anyway.
| This latest Prince Nonce stuff on 16:46 - Oct 8 with 1054 views | GlasgowBlue | I guess he had good enough lawyers to go though the procedure with a fine tooth comb. But it's not uncommon. A member of Kneecap had terrorism charges dropped against him due to a "technical error" in the way the charge was brought. Even though there was footage of him waving a Hezbollah flag chanting "up Hamas, up Hezbollah". So I don't think there is some conspiracy. It happens. | |

Quite interesting that Harry has had a 'Masterclass' series of lessons released this morning on 'Dealing With Grief', as an obvious expert in it, as opposed to a psychologist or grief councillor. Thankfully, he has an actual professional with him. I guess, following on from his Uncle's book, he isn't immune to monetising his Mother's death either. ÂŁ120 a year if anyone needs advice from Harry. https://www.independent.co.uk/

| This latest Prince Nonce stuff on 19:59 - Oct 8 with 769 views | Ryorry | On the face of it, it may look convenient, lucky etc., but actually I don't think it does him any favours, as it just keeps His Monstrousness in the public eye of disgust while the whole thing is dragged out even longer, when I bet he just wants to disappear out of the limelight, like Homer shuffling backwards through the hedge. Though that's too nice an image really - more like that photo of him caught by flash, gasping & ducking in cowardly fashion in the dark, in the back seat of his limmo. Happily, the illegality of the warrant/s "render(ing) null and void any evidence gained through their use" is by no means decided, as the Beeb article also says "Thames Valley Police must now convince a judge that the material is likely to be of "substantial value" to their investigation into Mountbatten-Windsor and, ultimately ... justifies them keeping and using the material after all.". | |

It's an expensive sideshow. Andrew is a pillock, but he's retired from public life now so there is little point in pursuing litigation against him, especially as it's very unlikely to succeed.

There's a *lot* of point. Investigating serious criminality; and above all, justice for the victims. Other serious crime investigations carry on for decades - why should this be any exception?

The fact that he said £1m a year by his brother (of our money) to do nothing and is now freer to do more business etc is staggering. Even the so called “restrictions” placed on him are simply PR for the Windsors and their leeching. Two tier indeed.

Exactly this - his alleged victims shouldn’t try to get justice because all Andy does now is play golf. They should simply move on.
| This latest Prince Nonce stuff on 13:15 - Oct 9 with 343 views | Zx1988 | Having done a little more digging, the precise implications are interesting - I was thinking more of the American system when I wondered whether this would result in all of the evidence gathered as a result of the searches being rendered inadmissable. It seems that a lot of it hinges on whether the police were legally entitled to a warrant at the time, and just followed the wrong process, and whether they might then be able to re-seize the evidence off the back of a new warrant issued immediately after the judgment. The outcome of TVP's application to retain the evidence will certainly be interesting. At the same time, one wonders why Andrew is fighting quite so hard if he's as innocent as he maintains. If there's no smoking gun in the evidence seized by TVP, why object so vehemently to them holding it? | |

It wasn’t from “our” money apparently (according to the BBC, it was from the king’s private funds).

I thought I read that Charles had told Andrew that he was not to use any money from his allowance to fund this particular action? Not that it matters in the slightest. It's good PR for Charlie but, at the end of the day, the fact that he gives money to Andrew in the first place helps free up other money to fund his attempts to clear his name. The fact that he's stumped up the money for Andrew's ÂŁ1.5m repair bill for the Royal Lodge will certainly have helped with the old cashflow...

They said earlier it was a cock-up by the judge and police. The police submitted 2 different search warrants to cover different types of data they wanted to analyse. But the judge said only one of those was required, but then signed off on the wrong one. But the police then gathered some evidence from both warrants. So clearly the judge should be sacked and his golden public funded pension pot returned to the public purse, and the same for the police person in charge of managing the investigation.
