I respect BDS for example for his choice not to go anymore as he stood by his word, don’t agree with it but as I say, have to respect it.

Agreed. Ashton has a lot of value to the club but also carries a lot of risk - like what we saw play out with Farage-gate. I'm flabbergasted that the ownership has not seen it fit to appoint a new Chairman over the summer.

Regardless of everything he has done for the club, what he did with Farage was extremely damaging, and enabled and encouraged a blatantly bigotted ideology.

Ashton has done a magnificent job. Hate-preacher Farage played him quite spectacularly but that’s in the past - maybe the owners are simply keeping a closer eye on him so that these mistakes do not happen again.

Not necessarily. But if their feelings were that strong they would?

The club is a very different thing from the chairman. Absolutely reaosnable and justifiable to have major issues with what he did, but take the view that it shouldn't damage your connection with the club itself.

So strong they put a sticker up? Whatever you're attempting here is pretty sad tbh. Assuming you're just fishing or will be pretending you were if you get called out. It's also very weird that you think we're Mark Ashton FC, maybe in your eyes. [Post edited 11 Oct 10:22]

Ridiculous take. What on earth is your point here? They want to continue being with the club and team, but dont wish the Ashton issue to be forgotten. All entirely reasonable.

No, not really as they support Town, not Ashton. I’ve worked with people who were either bell ends or not that nice but were also good at their jobs. Just a case of trying to separate work from personal feelings which is harder when it comes to the club someone supports.

As mentioned, bet they wouldn’t say it to his face. Ah you’re going down that route because you don’t agree with me? Boring.

What has saying it to someone's face ever had to do with whether a view is fair or accurate?

Plenty of people in the club would agree with the sentiment. Putting a sticker up is a bit weird though. I think he’s done a very good job on balance, I also think he’s a tw@t. Both things can be true. I wouldn’t put a sticker in the toilets though, that’s a bit cringe.

The difference is, if I knew who it was I’d say it to their face / not anonymously. Doing it by subterfuge is as cowardly as it comes.
