over £20m I think - they seemed to think he'd be the next England goalie. Utter rubbish

Hardly any real goal threat at all, against a far from convincing Spurs.

I suppose to some extent, they have done to Coventry what Coventry did to Newcastle last Monday I can't figure out if Coventry are better than I think they are or Spurs are really just that bad!

He really is the villain on the Coventry forum Cov fans think Brighton have taken them for a ride on the £20m+ fee.

Am I missing something? £22.5 million, which can rise to £30 million with add-ons and instalments versus £10 million (with potential add-ons) taking the total up to £15 million, I can't believe Muric's add ons were ever activated? Muric was a shambolic signing and a failure of scouting. He has some qualities which probably looked promising to a statistican and the data merchants with one eye on useful resale value, however he was hopelessly exposed with a poor defence in front of him. I'm not surprised to see him doing well elsewhere. He'll end up playing a Europa League level abroad in the long run. Coventry have gambled on a player who they are hoping can develop into something greater. It may pay off if they stay up and can resell him for big bucks. If he ends up relegated with them, it was probably a mistake. [Post edited 19 Oct 22:29]

| Are we all Spurs?? on 07:41 - Oct 20 with 486 views | LegendofthePhoenix | Last night's result is good for us. Realistically, Spurs won't be going down. Coventry are one of the teams that we need to finish above. Maybe we can also finish above Spurs, things are not right at that club. But first things first, let's just get ahead of at least 3 teams, one of them being Coventry. | |

I can’t let this slide. Coventry are odds on to go down. Spurs are 18/1. There is absolutely zero truth to the idea that a Cov win last night would have made Tottenham more likely to be relegated at that point that Coventry. For what it’s worth, we’re 2/1 to go down. Same price as Palace. Three odds on shots to be relegated in Hull, Cov and Man City.

Spurs will be fine. They've got a lot of quality, a good manager, a few players getting back to fitness. Wasn't blown away by them last night and a bit error-strewn, but when you can put a 6/10 performance in and still win 3-1 you're probably not a side that'll struggle. It was a good result for us last night. As funny as it would be to see, Spurs just aren't going down. They started terribly with 2 defeats, since then they've lost 1 of the last 5. Despite their bad start they're still outside of the bottom 3. With the big City points deduction / relegation looking likely we might 'only' need to finish above 2 others. Hull & Cov we probably have a 'right' to outpace, doesn't mean we will of course. Sunderland I really think are in a bit of bother as well. Palace & Fulham will be bottom 8 too. Muff and Forest will be fine IMO. It's all to play for, I'm really encouraged so far. We've been competitive and if we can keep key players fit and keep being as competitive as we have been we've got every chance of finishing on the right side of the line.
