He’s really been out of form since the Man U away game. Decision making and holding on too long - - issues we saw during his last loan. Forest will go deep and we’ll need special moments under the lights - in the cold and wet. GON may well swap out Enciso soon if his form continues - Clarke, Maeda, Fatawu looks more threatening to me on current form https://www.instagram.com/p/De

Yes, There were a couple of games where he was noticeably running into culs des sacs too much - it's OK for him to do it a fair bit, because that's the player he is and he gets good outcomes from it quite frequently, AND he draws extra defenders to him - but he's been a bit more toned down recently and quietly effective as opposed to the bling he was vs Sunderland particularly.

Yeah, there are two or three defenders on him every time he gets the ball. If he can time the release correctly there's going to be so much space around that pitch.

Absolutely. O'Neil would be mad to leave him out. Opponents fear him, they know it'll take two or three of them to stop his dribbles. Take their eyes off him and he can be through on goal - but concentrate too hard and Maeda will be. Plus he's not afraid to chase and tackle. Yes, Enciso is still quite young and raw. But he's ours to develop and he will.

The good news Gibbs White is still doubtful. But when Glasner brought his Palace side to PR - who were struggling - he went really deep with us, frustrated, then poached a goal. They're the lowest scorers in the league. Just can't see them going full blown attack.

I don't think he's reverted entirely to the 2024/25 model yet, but his lack of awareness isn't good. Which may be the reason why he holds onto the ball too long, too often. I remember an interview I read with the Great Spanish defensive midfielder Sergio Busquets a few years ago, before he retired. He said " I always know what I'm going to do with the ball before I receive it ". Reason given? " I scan the pitch to see what's available before I receive the ball ". Awareness in a nutshell, and you don't need to be a great footballer to have it. JE is far from alone in football today, of those that don't have it. Can be learned though!

He is not going to be exceptional every game, if he was he wouldn't be playing for us. Vs Fulham he put one on a plate for Emersonn with a frankly ridiculous pass which should have been an incredible assist. Vs Man City He was responsible time and time again for getting us up the pitch, often surrounded by 4/5 Man City players. If he is fit he starts. Every game.

Wouldn't disagree with most of that, just needs to realise he is allowed to get his head up and assess posssibilities at lest sometimes, instead of trying to plough through 2/3 defenders. Learn that and there could be an exceptional player in waiting there, given his age.
| Hoping the Call Me Ted artwork can inspire Enciso on 08:38 - Oct 21 with 545 views | BloomBlue | He's young, he will be inconsistent that's normal, the key is, is he still contributing? Yes it is annoying he does hold onto the ball too long sometimes, but that often looks worse because when he gets the ball the opposition are fully focused on stopping him and surround him. Look at the Liverpool game, Mac Allister was clearly defined as Enciso's shadow, he never left Enciso's side. So in my opinion Enciso is contributing to the team, even when running into a wall of players. Where we as a team need to develop is when 1 player is permanently attracting opposition players there should be space for others and we need to work the ball quicker to them. | | | |
