Just seen the weather forecast - winds of 30-50 mph with gusts up to 65mph on Friday evening. I believe the threshold for it being shut is 50mph?

depends on the wind direction on the bridge, but the forecast will change as it gets closer. the metoffice is already just showing a max 46mph gusts. the wind speed is slightly different on the bridge due to the elevation. but probably just speed restrict it.

When they can, they just reduce the speed limit to 40 instead of closing it completely. |  |
