Sorry cant agree with that, thought by his standards he was no better than any other game so far this season. And generaly has not been firing at all.

I thought he was much better than last week tbf.

Odd that he is getting pelters, but Fatawu (who I thought was pretty ineffective) seems to get no criticism.

Well I said in the week I'd play Clarke on the left and Madea on the right but there you go.

Yep I struggle to agree with OP
I think a lot about our overall play, shape and partnerships are better with those two (Clarke / Maeda) on the pitch,

Having philo have a slightly better game does not for me make up for all the other things we sacrifice. Not least as you pointed out on another thread a far more solid covering due on the left when Davis and Maeda play.

In my view when Davis / Maede or Davis / Clarke pair up we also get much more out of Davis as an attacking threat. Philo and Davis just don’t seem to pair well together.

Enciso is also more alive with those two in the pitch as the interplay and movement across the front line just multiplies.

At the moment Fatawu is just offering the same a philo. Not enough to be the main man.

He was okay in first half.
Poor for first 10 mins of second half.

Then he had a great shot well blocked, and made a crucial interception when tackling back.
I marginally prefer Jack Clarke, but Philogene is definitely scape goated, whilst others are given a free pass when playing poorly.

Fatawu's end product is decidedly mediocre. But his pace is a great weapon for us...if only he could do something with it.
Philogene seemed to get loads of mentions on the radio, and was the guy to instigate our opener.
But we must get our defence sorted out...need to be looked at for the January transfer window.

Think about it. Clarke comes on against tiring full backs precisely because of the work Jaden gets through.

He was good today.

I thought that last week for sure. Jaden started sluggishly against Forest but improved whereas Fatawu hasn’t done much since his suspension. Don’t think either played particularly well but Davis, O’shea & Walton cost us more than both of them today.

Maeda to start next match and time for Sherpen to get another go too.

Next you’ll be telling us the defence were brilliant and a 10/10 performance and presumably Walton is world class?

It's not FIFA.

It's not (yet thank god) Disneyland.

We controlled the game, got caught out for their first, it became a scrap. No complaints.

We got back in it.

Hull resilient.

If you want to crucify the keeper for every potential mistake then go ahead. It'll get you nowhere.

Decent point in the end

Win at home draw away.

It's tedious that we now have fans reacting to every game like it's the biggest spectacle for years.

It's football.

Should have won. Didn't. Got a point.

How good is it watching Enciso and Palacios?!

Maeda should always start. Consistency, work, contribution and goal threat every single time.

Enciso is a lovely one to watch and equally frustrating

For a promoted side who needs to make the most of our chances. He had 3 first half openings he fluffed. Then late on should have passed to flemming for an easy 6 yard goal.

BUT he scored so dont take the above like im saying he was poor he wasnt. Its just he gets in some excellent positions he needs to be a bit more clinical with final pass or touch.

But he is lovely to watch

He's a joy to watch.

Him missing chances is still a joy - he's such a good player.

We will be fine.

Everyone getting entitled again.

I assume Fatawu has been coached to not take his man on. Continually cuts inside and goes back or sideways. It’s frustrating.

I dont know if it is coaching or his decisions

Leicester fans were shocked at how he varied he made his decisions for us early on. Bit hes becoming the frustrating figure they felt he became for them.

In what way did he affect the game today? I don’t recall one meaningful pass, dribble, chance creation, shot…

I may be wrong, but seemed completely ineffective again.

Not sure what Maeda has done wrong.
