Ex-Pro as a manager 20:49 - Jan 13 with 894 viewsTRUE_BLUE123

I've always said that if Mick went (which he won't I know) I would choice someone like Giggs or gerrard with a real football brain and something to prove. You could argue that it didn't work with Keane *spits* but I would love a new fresh manager

Trouble is some of these types think they're above a lowly team like us. I know he was only an example, but Giggs wouldn't look at us. Despite having done nothing in coaching to earn our interest.

'A real football brain' what does that even mean?

That could mean good and bad but whilst on this subject I'd like see Mowbray or Butcher given a chance. They would understand what is needed and previous experience would be in their favour too/

I was talking to a Boro-supporting mate of mine last night and he pulled a face when I mentioned Mowbray. It's not that he thought Mogga was a bad manager, rather that the club did little more than 'tread water' (to use his words) during his tenure.

Good Lord! Whatever is it?

Both have as many failures as successes behind them now. Despite that I think Mogga could bring back some positivity and would certainly make people feel better about the style.

Giggs being a nasty arrogant love rat who tried to get the job at OT behind the scenes and laughably failed?

Excellent player but file under Keane, Souness et al. I suspect.

Agreed, I'd put his application straight in the bin. It would be great to have exTown player as that would get fans on side , And with some funding make immediate impression
